Service level
Standard, express or same-day – faster processing costs a little more.
The cost of card grading is often opaque – especially with providers that use a "value charge". In this guide we explain transparently what grading costs in Germany, why there is no customs and how fixed prices keep you in control.
At Platin Grading Service, grading starts at €15.95 per card – as a fixed price. The exact amount depends on the chosen service level (e.g. standard, express, same-day), not on the value of your card. This is a decisive difference from many US providers that charge a so-called value charge: there the fee rises with the card's value – and if the card grades higher than expected, you pay extra afterwards.
With us, you know the price before you order. For larger submissions there are also volume discounts. You'll find all current prices and service tiers clearly at grading prices and directly in the configurator.

More cards = cheaper per card thanks to volume discounts.
The card's value is irrelevant to the price – fixed price in advance.
Because the cards never leave Germany, import duties don't apply.
Sending cards to the USA rarely means paying only the grading fee. On top come international shipping both ways, customs and import VAT, possible value-charge surcharges and a much higher risk over long transport routes. Add it all up and grading in Germany is in many cases not only faster but also cheaper and more predictable. Read the full comparison at PSA vs. PGS.
The biggest price lever is processing speed. The standard service is the cheapest if you have no fixed deadline. But if a sale, a convention or a gift is coming up, an express or even same-day service is worth it – you pay a predictable surcharge but get your cards back much faster. Importantly: grading quality is identical across all tiers, only the speed differs.
A second lever is quantity. Submitting several cards together benefits from volume discounts and saves on shipping, because only one insured parcel is needed. Our tip: collect grade-worthy cards and submit them in a bundle. This noticeably lowers the price per card. All tiers and terms are shown up to date at grading prices and in the configurator.
