Authentication
Checked for resealing and tampering – decisive for valuable vintage boosters.
Sealed boosters are popular collectibles – but is grading a sealed product worth it? In this guide you'll learn when booster grading pays off, what matters for authenticity and condition and what a sealed case provides.
The value of a sealed booster depends almost entirely on its factory-sealed condition and its authenticity. That's exactly why grading is most worthwhile for older or limited boosters with high market value: a documented, protected sealed booster sells more securely and often at a better price, because buyers have certainty about authenticity and condition.
For very cheap, current boosters, on the other hand, the effort often bears no relation to the increase in value – here grading is more for collectors who want to preserve the product intact long term.

Assessment of the packaging for pressure marks, creases and damage.
Sealed in a sturdy case with serial number & QR code for verification.
Documented and protected, a booster sells more transparently and securely.
The biggest risk with sealed products is resealing – a previously opened and "searched" booster that has been closed again. Signs include messy or double seams, slight ripples in the film, a deviating weight or crease marks. For laypeople this is often hard to judge, especially with valuable vintage boosters. This is exactly where professional authentication comes in: we specifically check the sealed product for signs of tampering before it is rated and sealed.
If you only want certainty about authenticity and value for a single booster – without sealing it in a case – our authentication & value appraisal is the right alternative. If you want to protect the booster long term and document its sealed condition, the path is booster grading. Both options create the transparency that makes the difference when trading sealed products.
