Right of Withdrawal

This withdrawal policy applies to consumers entering into contracts with PlatinGrading GmbH. It explains your statutory right of withdrawal as well as the cases in which no right of withdrawal exists or in which it expires early.

1.Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

For a contract of sale (goods) (e.g. accessories, displays, boxes), the withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you or a third party named by you takes possession of the goods.
For a contract for services (e.g. grading, authenticity checks and valuation reports), the withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract is concluded.

2.Exercising the right of withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us

by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an e-mail) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not mandatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

3.Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including delivery costs (except for additional costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the cheapest standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we receive notification of your withdrawal. We will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise.

You bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You only have to pay for any diminished value of the goods if this loss of value is due to handling of the goods which is not necessary to check their nature, characteristics and functioning.

4.No withdrawal for grading & valuations (services)

For contracts for the provision of services – in particular our grading, authenticity assessment and the creation of valuation reports – your right of withdrawal expires once we have fully performed the service and have begun performance only after you

gave your express consent, and
at the same time acknowledged that you lose your right of withdrawal upon full performance of the contract (§ 356 (4) German Civil Code / BGB).

Important: An assessment is an expert opinion. A withdrawal or refund is excluded if you are not satisfied with the result (e.g. the assigned grade or the determined market value) – in that case the service was rendered fully and in accordance with the contract. There is no entitlement to a specific grade or value.

5.Sealed products & mystery boxes

For sealed goods – in particular mystery boxes, sealed displays, boosters and comparable closed products – the following applies:

As long as the product is unopened and in its original seal, you may withdraw and return it within the 14-day period.

Once the product has been opened or the seal removed, withdrawal is excluded. Sealed goods whose value lies precisely in their closed, random contents are no longer suitable for return once opened (§ 312g (2) no. 3 BGB). By breaking the seal you consent to the expiry of your right of withdrawal.

Unsealed trading cards that have been individually graded or sealed for you are goods made to customer specifications; here, too, there is no right of withdrawal (§ 312g (2) no. 1 BGB).

This withdrawal policy is updated as needed. The version valid at the time the contract is concluded shall apply. Our Terms apply in addition.
